Sustainability in the UK
We believe that by placing sustainable practices at the centre of what we do in the UK, and supporting our clients to do so too, we can help reduce our impact on the environment, whilst driving a positive impact for our colleagues, clients and our communities. Our sustainability framework will help us to navigate how we can mitigate climate impacts, safeguard natural resources, promote economic and social well-being, and build a resilient future for all.
In 2020, Gerald Eve, now known as Newmark, declared a climate emergency. In March 2021, we published our Climate Change Commitment, which set out our commitment to become carbon negative for all our operations and business travel by 2030. In 2023, we achieved carbon neutrality across our business operations.
Our Shared Purpose framework gives a detailed breakdown of how we ensure that we remain ambitious in delivering a positive impact for our environment, our people, our clients and our communities.
