I’m based in our City office. I have over 25 years’ experience, the last 22 years here at Newmark in general valuation work throughout the UK. I specialise in the office market in Central London and the home counties with emphasis on rating/local property tax valuations and the Serviced/Managed Office sector. I work closely with our Rate Management and Payment Team, the largest in the country, managing in the region of £1.5billion a year in rate payments on behalf of our clients.
I have conducted research and negotiations with the Valuation Office Agency on all the rating lists from 1973 through to the current time. I work on a variety of property types but predominantly offices, including serviced office providers and media companies. I have presented cases to Valuation Tribunal on a number of occasions.
My clients include Grosvenor Estates, DMGT, GSK, Hays recruitment, Hertz, Pearson Education, Kier Property, Newsquest, Equinix, Boutique Workplace, Bizspace,), Rio Tinto AMSPROP, The Office Group, Warner Music and the Greater London Authority.
Recent Projects
- As a team we have returned in excess of £35million to clients in the Flexible Office Sector over the last 3 years, by minimising their rate liability and enabling their clients to claim Small Business Rate Relief.
- We have provided advice to Central London estates in terms of redevelopments and budgeting advice for their clients.
