Work Placements

If you’re curious about a career with a global leader in commercial real estate, consider spending some time at Newmark where you can gain some work experience and learn what the industry is really like.

You’ll get stuck in from day one and benefit from direct access to senior individuals on a daily basis. You might go on site visits and attend client meetings or get invited to come on board research projects or help write reports.

Gaining industry experience early in your career enhances your technical and practical knowledge and gives you valuable insights. It will also strengthen your core skills, from communication to planning, problem-solving, teamwork, confidence and networking.

We welcome applications from students of all backgrounds and disciplines, aged 17+. If you are not currently studying for a property-related degree, please be sure to demonstrate your interest in this area. We are looking for enthusiasm, passion and the will to learn and grow.

If you are studying an RICS or RTPI accredited degree that offers a placement year opportunity, Newmark offer full-year paid placements. Based in one team for the whole year, you’ll gain relevant experience and work closely with senior individuals, both in the UK and around the world.

Your time here will also contribute towards your APC submission, whether that’s with us or another firm, after graduation.

Typically, we offer placements in planning and surveying. These are usually based in London.

Applications for the year-long programme open in December, with assessment days held across February and March. If your application is successful you would start in September alongside our annual graduate cohort.
