Ryan Weber and Christopher McMahon, senior managing directors at Newmark, represented the landlord in two recent transactions at 85 Bolton Street, Cambridge. The landlord, Bolton Street, LLC, recently converted the former Wyeth Research Center to Walden Square Science Center, attracting tenants by its ability to provide robust laboratory facilities for cost effective rental rates.
“The building is a great solution for growing life science companies that need functional laboratory space in a timely manner at affordable rates,” said Weber.
Tetragenetics Inc., an early-state biotechnology company focusing on the production of genetically engineered proteins, has leased 9,000 square feet on the second floor of Walden Square Science Center. Cushman & Wakefield represented Tetragenetics Inc. in this transaction.
Ligon Discovery, Inc., a biotechnology company that discovers and develops innovative human medicines targeting therapeutic needs, has leased 2,500 square feet on the first floor of Walden Square Science Center. Newmark represented Ligon Discovery, Inc. as well as the landlord in this transaction.
