Newmark Arranges 24,000-SF Office Expansion for Top Personal Injury Law Firm at 1040 Avenue of Americas

Newmark announces the company has arranged a 24,000-square-foot office lease renewal and expansion for Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP at 1040 Avenue of the Americas (“AOA”) in Midtown. Newmark Vice Chairman William (Billy) Cohen and Associate Director Ariel Harwood represented owner Skyline Developers in lease negotiations.

The leading personal injury law firm leased 12,007 square feet on the building’s seventh floor, while renewing its existing 12,007-square-foot lease on the 10th floor. The transaction marks the latest chapter in the firm’s ongoing growth at the property, which began with a 5,448-square-foot lease in 2021. Since then, Meirowitz & Wasserberg has steadily expanded its footprint, first securing the entire 10th floor and now doubling its presence to span two full floors.

1040 Avenue of the Americas is a 24-story, Art Deco office tower that underwent a full-scale renovation and façade restoration in 2016. The building features upscale, pre-built and custom-built office suites with floorplates ranging from 6,895 to 12,007 rentable square feet.
