Metrostar Distribution Inc., a leading distributor of paper products to the food industry in Manhattan and Queens, has signed a long-term lease for 52,000 square feet of office-warehouse space at 468 Grand Boulevard in Westbury, New York.
Newmark Associate Director Daniel T. Gazzola and Managing Principal Chuck Tabone, both of the company’s Long Island office, represented Metrostar Distribution in the transaction. The landlord, The Estate of Marvin Lindner, was represented by Norman Schefer.
Metrostar Distribution is moving from a 30,000 square-foot facility located in the Bronx, according to Gazzola. Following a nine month-long effort to find an appropriate building to purchase, the fast-growing company decided to lease its new facility, he said, adding, “The high price of for-sale buildings in the Long Island market has helped spur an increase in leasing activity.”
