Newmark announces that it has secured a new 8,000-square-foot sublease with locally-based DC BLOX. The new HQ of the rapidly growing data center and network services provider will occupy Crown Pointe at 1040 Crown Pointe in Atlanta. Managing Director of Newmark’s Data Center Consulting Group Frank Clementi and Associate Zachary Gatch represented the tenant on the transaction.
Recognized as one of Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the United States, DC BLOX signed a turn-key five-year sublease from sublandlord Horizon Actual Services. The firm plans to move into the new space next month and will partially occupy the fifth floor of the Class A office building. In securing the new space, DC BLOX will more than double its space from their previous location in Brookhaven.
“Our Data Center Consulting Group provides services for site selection, capital markets, tenant representation, and our inherent understanding of our client’s requirements gives us valuable insight into helping them with their office needs,” said Clementi. “Given the heightened activity in the sublease market, we were able to secure a turn-key space for DC BLOX to quickly settle into their new HQ and continue upon their whirlwind of success.” added Gatch.
DC BLOX’s decision to relocate stemmed from the brand’s tremendous growth over the last several years. The firm needed a larger space to accommodate its employees and prospective clients. This flight-to-quality offers DC BLOX a reimagined, highly collaborative workplace with access to best-in-class amenities for its growing workforce.
Crown Pointe is owned by Pacific Capital Advisors in Georgia’s Dunwoody/Sandy Springs submarket. The property underwent a multi-million-dollar transformation to realize its forward-looking design aesthetic. The two-building office campus features an activated greenspace plan, new lobbies, common areas, a 2,500-square-foot business lounge equipped with unlimited Starbucks coffee, a reserve-ready conference space, a fitness center with locker rooms and showers, outdoor walking paths, green spaces and a gourmet café.
