Newmark announces the hiring of Grant Bates as Executive Managing Director in its Richmond, Virginia office. With over ten years of experience in corporate real estate, Bates brings a wealth of expertise in tenant and landlord agency representation in the industrial and logistics sectors, conducting over 25 transactions worth over $100 million annually.
“We are committed to building out our team with the best and brightest professionals to ensure full coverage in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Allison DiGiovanni, Newmark’s Mid-Atlantic Market Leader. “Grant’s expertise and experience align perfectly with our growth strategy, and we are confident he will contribute significantly to our continued success.”
With deep knowledge of the state of Virginia, specifically the I-81 corridor, Bates’ expertise will further enhance the firm’s industrial leasing and sales capabilities and landlord and tenant representation and strengthen its presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. Bates joined Newmark after serving as a senior vice president at Colliers International for five years, where he was responsible for the industrial markets in central and southwest Virginia.
“I am excited to join an organization with industry-leading talent and to help grow the industrial platform in Virginia,” said Bates. “Newmark’s robust resources, including enhanced market research, cutting-edge technology platforms and a global network of industry professionals, will enable me to better serve my clients and navigate the ever-evolving industrial real estate landscape.”
