Renowned Expert Lasse Berg Joins Newmark’s Travel Retail Team As Director

Newmark Retail’s London-based strategic travel retail team has made the key appointment of Lasse Berg as a Director.

Lasse brings significant first-hand travel retail experience, having previously headed up commercial retail activities on both the airport operator and retail brand side.

Based in Denmark, Lasse further expands the international breadth of knowledge and expertise in Newmark’s travel retail team with key business insight, retail strategy, business development and commercial awareness. Lasse will help identify and realise key growth opportunities for airport operators and retail brand partners working with the consultancy.

His appointment fills a key position as Newmark Retail seeks to continue to capitalise on the momentum from strong 2023 and continues to expand and grow its consultancy business for airports and retailers across the world.

For the last five years, Lasse has worked as Head of Retail Business Partners at Copenhagen Airport, where he led an expert team across all categories, supporting the airport’s commercial partners in optimising the performance of their stores and the experience for customers. He was instrumental in preparing the commercial plans for the expansion of Copenhagen Airport, which is set to open in 2027.

Prior to his role at Copenhagen Airport, Lasse ran the Scandinavian Airport business for airport electronics retailer Capi, gaining invaluable experience in running airport stores. He combines his strong airport retail experience with domestic retail experience, having enjoyed a successful period running Peak Performance in Scandinavia.
