Spanx Inks 37,000-SF Lease at 3344 Peachtree

Spanx Inc., a designer/manufacturer of body-shaping undergarments for women, has signed a lease for 37,000 square feet of office space at the 52-story 3344 Peachtree tower in Atlanta’s Buckhead commercial submarket.

Newmark Senior Managing Director Monty Harris and Director Aaron Sommer, both of the global commercial real estate services firm’s Atlanta office, represented Spanx in the transaction.

Regent Partners LLC, the owner/developer of the 3344 Peachtree, a mixed-use tower that includes around 470,000 square feet of office space, was represented internally by Adam Allman and David Tennery.

Now located in the nearby Lenox Overlook office building at 3391 Peachtree Rd., Atlanta-based Spanx will be moving to 3344 Peachtree in January 2009. The new space is now being designed by Atlanta-based architects Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates.

Founded in 1998 by Sara Blakely, Spanx manufactures footless pantyhose and other body-shaping undergarments for women that are designed to make the wearer look slimmer.
