Newmark’s survey of major manufacturing announcements made since 2020 illustrates the breadth of manufacturing growth, with more than 160 metro and micropolitan areas across the U.S. set to receive at least one new facility. Although surveyed announcements fall in a wide variety of places, the regions poised to benefit most are predominantly secondary and tertiary metros near major markets with higher-than-average levels of preexisting advanced manufacturing talent, relatively lower-cost energy and abundant, affordable land.
