Alec Hartman currently serves as a Senior Appraiser in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Columbus, Ohio office. Hartman has been involved in real estate valuation for more than five years. With experience in the valuation of a wide variety of property types throughout the state, Hartman has a diversified skill set and extensive understanding of the Ohio real estate markets. Hartman has appraised nearly every property type which includes commercial properties such as retail, office, industrial, multifamily, subdivisions, and mixed-use. Additionally, Hartman has a plethora of experience in residential valuation appraising properties including some of the highest valued single-family homes in Ohio, small multifamily, land, condominiums, and proposed development.
Hartman came to Newmark after serving as a staff appraiser at The Charles R. Porter Company for four years where he appraised a variety of commercial and residential property types. These appraisals were for various clients including but not limited to banks/lenders for mortgage financing and construction financing transactions, attorneys for litigation, property owners for sale by owner opinion of value, estate planning, and dissolution cases. Hartman has completed appraisals for property owners seeking to dispute their property value for tax purposes with county boards of revision including Franklin, Delaware, Fairfield, Union, and Licking.
