Amy Binstein joined Newmark in 2017 as Research Manager in the firm’s Chicago office. In this role, Binstein is responsible for oversight of all office, industrial and retail research policies, objectives and initiatives.
Binstein also provides research and analysis of office, industrial and retail markets throughout metro Chicago and prepares in-depth reports on local, regional and national tenants, landlords and properties.
Binstein brings to her position a comprehensive understanding of how corporate real estate is developed and utilized that allows her to better identify various patterns and trends in the real estate industry. By combining this knowledge with her aptitude for research, Binstein is also able to assist brokers on pitches for new business.
Prior to Newmark, Binstein held a similar position in the Chicago headquarters of national real estate company Bradford Allen. She previously worked as a Research Analyst at JLL, focusing on the suburban Chicago office market.
An active member of her community, Binstein is a committed mentor to a high school student through the iMentor program, which provides guidance about the college research and application process to low-income students.
Education
Binstein earned her master’s degree in urban planning at the University of Illinois at Chicago and her bachelor’s degree in geography from Carthage College. She lives in Lincoln Square with her husband and enjoys exploring different neighborhoods in the city. Binstein and her husband also play golf every chance they get.
