Andrew Petrozzi serves as Director and Head of Canada Research at Newmark. In this role, Petrozzi is responsible for the planning and execution of all Canadian research initiatives, providing data-driven market insights and economic analysis in support of clients and brokerage professionals. With 14 years of experience as a researcher in commercial real estate, Petrozzi offers deep expertise in actioning data and trends into timely intelligence.
Before joining Newmark in 2023, Petrozzi served as Head of Commercial Transactions, Data Solutions for the Altus Group, where he was responsible for the oversight, development and administration of the company’s commercial sales transaction platform and led teams across Canada. Previous, he headed the British Columbia research team at Avison Young, where he directed local and national research efforts in all asset classes.
As an industry thought leader with a strong background in journalism, Petrozzi frequently contributes expert commentary through panel discussions and media interviews, providing valuable insights around investment, office leasing, biotech, industrial and retail trends throughout Canadian markets. His expertise has been cited in articles published by The Globe and Mail, CBC, Western Investor, Business in Vancouver, The Vancouver Sun, RENX, Connect CRE and Green Street News.

Petrozzi earned a Master in Journalism from the University of British Columbia in 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Comparative Political Science and Humanities from York University in Toronto, Ontario.
