Barry M. Gosin, Chief Executive Officer of Newmark Group, Inc., has led the business which operates as Newmark, one of the world’s leading commercial real estate advisory firms, since 1979. Gosin guides the firm’s global expansion across geographies and service lines and oversees all facets of its vision and strategic direction.
Gosin spearheaded Newmark’s IPO in 2017 and the company’s spin-off from BGC Partners, Inc. in 2018 after leading the sale of Newmark in 2011. Gosin continues to captain the firm’s growth and has led Newmark in the acquisition of over 55 companies and its increase in annual revenues of over 1,000 percent. Newmark has been the fastest growing publicly traded commercial real estate services company since 2011.
Under Gosin’s direction, Newmark has become a leading firm in both leasing and capital markets. The company has more than quadrupled its U.S. commercial and multifamily origination market share and more than doubled its U.S. investment sales share over the past decade. Newmark has also expanded into Europe under Gosin, having established a headcount of approximately 1,000 professionals in less than three years and generated approximately $300 million in revenue over the twelve months ended June 30, 2024.
An active industry and community leader, Gosin is passionate about many causes including civic issues in New York City, student and workforce diversity, and adult mental health support. His memberships and honors include:
