Bill Mott is a Senior Managing Director with Newmark’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Tysons office. He specializes in the structuring and execution of large real estate financings and REIT lending.
Mott joined Newmark’s predecessor firm in 2012. He previously worked for eight years at Deutsche Bank, where he originated and structured approximately $15 billion in CMBS, mezzanine, construction, and bridge loans across all asset classes.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mott served as Vice President at Goldman Sachs from 1997 through 2003. At Goldman, he was responsible for the origination and structuring of more than $5 billion of multifamily, office, retail, hotel and industrial loans. He also sat on the credit committee for Archon Financial and was active in new products and the development, design and marketing of a floating-rate loan program for securitization.
Earlier in his career, Mott was Vice President at Citicorp Real Estate, where he was responsible for the firm’s relationships with third-party mortgage banks, account management of debt facilities and debt restructurings. Previously, he served as Division Manager at The Architectural Team, Inc., where he established the company’s Washington, DC, office, and was a Registered Architect in the District of Columbia.
Education
Mott holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, from where he also earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
