Bradley V. Van Linge serves as a Senior Managing Director in Newmark’s Palo Alto office, where he specializes in office and R&D leasing and sales.
A native Californian, Van Linge began his career in real estate development as a project manager with Hare, Brewer & Kelley Inc.’s (HBK’s) Commercial Development Division. He worked in this capacity for three years, gaining tremendous knowledge of development procedures and costs, before moving into real estate sales. As an agent who could aid clients not only in site selection but building construction and interior improvements, Van Linge was HBK’s Top Producer for two consecutive years and was in the company’s Top Five in four of five years. During this time, he closed one of Silicon Valley’s largest land/office park sales, when he procured a buyer for Saga’s $31.0 million project on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park.
Van Linge continued his success at Newmark. In 2000, he completed a series of transactions with IBM/Lotus Development Corporation (84,400 square feet) and Systemix, Inc. (140,000 square feet), which culminated in the disposition of 141,000 square feet of leases. From 1999 to 2007, he represented The Jay Paul Company, leasing in excess of 1.4 million square feet and 1.0 million square feet in 2006. His success is partly the result of long-term relationships that have resulted in all types of real estate transactions.
Van Linge was one of Newmark’s Top Ten Producers for Northern California in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001 and 2006. In 2007, he won the Russ Thompson Award, the highest honor bestowed by Newmark, in recognition personal integrity, peer respect and teamwork. He was named a senior vice president in 1994.
Education
Van Linge graduated from the University of Colorado’s school of business in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in real estate and marketing.
