Brian Cohen joined Newmark in 2008. He works closely with Vice Chairmen Moshe Sukenik and Chris Mongeluzo, forming a team whose clientele comprises many of the most prestigious companies in New York and around the country. Their particular expertise in representing law firms has earned them a reputation as one of the legal community’s leading advisory teams. In 2017, Cohen was named Newmark’s “Tri-State Director of the Year.”
At Newmark, Cohen has been instrumental in completing more than 100 transactions, which, in total, exceed 4 million square feet. His degree in law, as well as his formidable background in accounting, form the foundation of a unique skill set that he leverages to benefit his clients.
Before joining Newmark, Cohen worked for Georgia Malone & Company. Prior to this, he worked in international tax for Ernst and Young.

Cohen is an active member of the Jewish Guild for the Blind Young Visionaries. He is also active in fundraising for the NephCure Foundation.
Education
Cohen graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy from George Washington University. He received his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York and is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
