Bruce Yepsen joined Newmark in 2018 to lead the Global Corporate Services Industrial Program and Project Management team. As a senior managing director in the firm’s Houston office, Mr. Yepsen brings to his position more than 35 years of experience in building facilities across the United States, in both rural and downtown locations. He has substantial expertise in commercial real estate, including highly finished office spaces, build-to-suit office and distribution buildings and site selection for manufacturing and construction of major manufacturing facilities. In the last 10 years, he has completed two major manufacturing facilities with a combined value of $5.4 billion.
Mr. Yepsen joined Newmark after creating the construction management team and then managing the construction of a $1.7 billion seamless pipe mill for Tenaris in Bay City, Texas. This project was completed with over 4 million man hours without a lost time incident. Prior to Tenaris, Mr. Yepsen was the director of infrastructure for ThyssenKrupp. In this capacity, Mr. Yepsen was involved in the site selection to locate a site to support the construction of a $3.7 billion steel mill. His team comprised more than 150 engineers who managed construction on a 3,600-acre site in Calvert, Alabama. During the peak of construction, there were more than 6,000 construction workers coming through the gate every day. Prior to these engagements, Mr. Yepsen was a senior managing director at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was responsible for managing a national project management practice.
Education
Mr. Yepsen graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
