Brunson Howard serves as an Executive Managing Director in Newmark’s San Diego office where he is focused exclusively on high profile investment sales for a broad spectrum of property types including land for future development, life science, industrial and R&D, and office.
Howard has been involved in a wide variety of complex capital markets transactions spanning a broad geography that includes San Diego, Phoenix Arizona, Orange County, the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas Nevada.
Howard joined Newmark in 2016 from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was the Executive Managing Director for the San Diego offices and the co-leader of the firm’s San Diego capital markets group.
Before commencing a career in real estate, Howard served as a commissioned officer and aviator with the U.S. Marine Corps where he flew a variety of aircraft including AH-1W Cobra attack helicopters and F/A-18D strike fighters.
Education
Howard is a 2010 graduate of LEAD Impact San Diego, an organization dedicated to identifying and developing San Diego’s future leaders. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Texas State University.
