Carter Lyman joined Newmark as an office and R&D leasing specialist in 2018. Prior to Newmark, Lyman spent 5 years as a top field sales rep at Okta, Inc. and was recognized as one of the company’s top producers from 2014-2018. Since joining Newmark, Lyman has achieved rapid success, negotiating more than 100+ lease transactions representing 1.3M total square feet, and totaling over $600M in consideration.
Lyman has leveraged his unique background in finance & growth startups by working with emerging high-tech & life science companies to structure appropriate facility strategies throughout the Bay Area. His perspective on both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of corporate real estate have been instrumental in his development as one of the top young brokers in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2019, he was honored as the Rookie of the Year by the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (ASVB).
