Charles Henderson, MAI, currently serves as an Executive Vice President and National Medical Outpatient Buildings Lead for Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Healthcare & Seniors Housing Specialty Practice. With more than 18 years in the real estate industry, his appraisal experience has included virtually all types of commercial property, but his expertise and core focus are medical outpatient buildings, including primary care, surgery centers, and various clinical and specialty practice facilities, along with institutional investment assets and portfolios.
Henderson joined Newmark after serving as a Senior Valuation Services Director at Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services. Prior to joining Colliers, he was employed as Director of Investments with Grubb Properties, a national private equity real estate firm. In this role, Henderson utilized his valuation background in underwriting acquisitions of office buildings and multifamily development projects. The acquisitions, debt-sourcing and asset management experience with Grubb solidified his real estate expertise beyond that of the traditional valuation professional.
In 2014, Henderson founded Fidelity Valuations, a local appraisal firm in Charlotte, NC. Prior to starting his own firm, he was a Senior Analyst at Integra Realty Resources for several years. He started his career at Bidencope & Associates, a boutique firm in Charlotte where he focused on litigation-related assignments including eminent domain.
