Chris Gordon joined Newmark in 2013 as a Senior Managing Director within its Global Healthcare Services’ team. He has over two decades of experience providing real estate advisory and consulting services within the healthcare sector.
Gordon is also responsible for business development opportunities with healthcare providers and manages the transaction pipeline and RFP responses. He collaborates with Newmark brokers in different markets, as well as third-party relationships. Gordon has in-depth experience with acquisitions, portfolio strategy & management, large lease negotiations, ambulatory strategy & planning, portfolio consolidation, development and debt & equity financing of millions of square feet of healthcare space. He is skilled at leveraging core strengths and resources as well as guiding clients to exploit market opportunities for investment, development and margin enhancement. His strong operational, financial and project management skills allow him to provide value-added services and the ability to increase revenue.
Before joining Newmark, Gordon was Vice President of Partners Health Trust at Trammell Crow Company where he grew its healthcare real estate portfolio from $150 million in 2006 to $425 million in 2012; his efforts recognized a return multiple of 3.4 times over the investment period. His former portfolio of assets sold in early 2018 to Heitman from The State of Michigan. Chris also managed sourcing activities for new deals for investment, development or redevelopment strategies and managed a portfolio of 20 assets totaling 1.7 million square feet with approximately $425 million in asset value and completed loan transactions for 17 assets with proceeds in excess of $170 million.
Prior to Trammell Crow Company, Gordon was with Brandywine Realty Trust / Prentiss Properties, where he completed acquisitions of 2.6 million square feet valued at $260 million, performed development underwriting and aided in disposition of almost 2 million square feet valued at $275 million.

Education
Gordon graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance; he also earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Entrepreneurship at UT Dallas’ Naveen Jindal School of Management.
