Chris Hope is a Senior Managing Director in Newmark’s Strategic Advisory division, where he leads the General Partner Stakes and Capital Solutions business. Based in New York, Hope specializes in assisting real estate general partners (GPs) in securing innovative capital solutions, including selling minority stakes and raising management company preferred equity financing.
With over 18 years of private market and secondary advisory experience, Hope has a proven track record of arranging debt and equity solutions for GPs. His expertise includes NAV loans, preferred equity financings, Collateralized Fund Obligation (CFO) securitizations, fund restructurings, captive spin-outs and capital raises at both the asset and fund levels. Throughout his career, Hope has advised on over $8 billion of secondary market debt and equity transactions for institutions and private clients across the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Before joining Newmark, Hope led CFO equity distribution for Evercore. Prior to that, he was an original member of PJT Park Hill’s secondary advisory unit and also previously worked for Blackstone.
