As a Vice Chairman with Newmark, Chris Murphy specializes in investment sales of office and mixed-use product in the Southern United States, with an emphasis on the major Texas markets and Nashville. Murphy is one of four experts in the institutional capital markets arena who joined Newmark’s Dallas office in 2020 to expand its U.S. Capital Markets platform. The team is focused on bolstering Newmark’s share of capital markets transactions in Texas, the central region and nationally and on building a best-in-class office capital markets practice for Newmark in Texas.
Murphy joined Newmark after 10 years with HFF, and subsequently JLL after their acquisition of HFF in 2019, where his primary focus was on office and mixed-use investment advisory throughout the southern United States. Over the course of his career with HFF, he completed more than $10 billion in commercial real estate transactions with experience in all major property types and a focus on office investment advisory. Murphy’s prior career experience also includes time at TRT Holdings and Duke Realty Corporation.
