Chris Strickfaden joined Newmark in 2015 in the firm’s El Segundo, California, office. As a senior managing director, Mr. Strickfaden is involved in all facets of landlord agency, tenant representation and investment sales for both commercial and medical office properties.
Prior to Newmark, Mr. Strickfaden was with Chicago-based JLL for eight years, Houston-based PM Realty Group for 17 years and Cadillac Fairview/Prentiss Properties for five years. During his tenure at these firms, he completed more than 9 million square feet in transactions.
Mr. Strickfaden’s career is distinguished by his successful negotiation of leases with such major tenants as American Honda, Dow Jones, Hertz Corporation, IBM, Nissan, Rockwell Collins, ThinKom Solutions, Toyota, TRW and Wedbush Securities.
Additionally, Mr. Strickfaden has been involved in the disposition of dozens of assets for institutional clients such as AEW, GE Capital, MetLife Real Estate, New York Life Insurance, PRES, TIAA-CREF, USAA and Wells Real estate.
A licensed real estate broker in the state of California, Mr. Strickfaden is a former executive board member and co-chair of the Los Angeles Commercial Real Association (LACRA).
Education
Mr. Strickfaden holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
