Chris Wulff joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2020 as a first vice president in the Austin office of the Retail Petroleum & Restaurant Specialty Practice. Actively engaged in real estate valuation and consulting since 2004, Wulff’s current concentration is in restaurants and retail petroleum facilities, which includes convenience stores, truck stops, bulk fueling facilities, service stations, quick lubes and car washes. Other areas include single tenant retail, shopping centers and other commercial properties.
Wulff served as a senior associate with Hopkins Appraisal Services from 2011 to 2020, prior to the firm’s acquisition by Newmark. In this role, he appraised thousands of properties throughout the country, but primarily focused on appraisals in Texas and the South.
Prior to joining Hopkins, Wulff was a senior associate with Craig Owyang Real Estate, working throughout the San Francisco Bay Area as well as the Sacramento and Central valleys. Appraisal assignments included proposed and existing property types including retail, office, industrial and residential properties of varying densities.

Going Concern - SBA
- Completed the Appraisal Institute course “Fundamentals of Separating Real Property, Personal Property, & Intangible Business Assets”
- Per Chapter 4 of the SBA’s SOP 50, Wulff has, within the last 36 months, completed no less than four going concern appraisals of special use properties (car wash, gas station with or without a convenience store, restaurant, etc.).
