Chris Dowell has more than 27 years of industrial real estate experience and focuses on the industrial market in Southeast Michigan and the Greater Detroit area. He represents tenants and landlords in transactions of all sizes, providing site selection and transaction negotiations for significant world headquarters facilities. Dowell has been recognized as an industry leader in Michigan and is regularly quoted in local, regional and national real estate and related industry publications. He is also a consistent top producer at Newmark.
Aggressive and problem-solving oriented, Dowell has been involved in some of the largest sale and lease transactions in the Michigan area. Recently, Dowell was instrumental in the multimillion dollar sale of the 437,000-square-foot former Valeo headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Upon closing, the building was leased on a long-term basis to Delphi Corporation. Less than 15 months later, Dowell relisted and sold the same property to another purchaser while keeping Delphi Corporation in the building as a long-term tenant.
Dowell’s recent transactions total more than $26 million for clients that include Delphi Corporation, First Industrial Real Estate, Gordon Begin Properties, Kemp & Sherman Properties, Mayco International, The Schostak Companies, Stag Industrial, VSE Corporation and many others.
Education
Dowell is a graduate of Oakland University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, management and journalism.
