As the National Assistant Director of Newmark’s Receivership and Special Assets Group, Christopher (Chris) Van Mullem is responsible for evaluating the assets of real estate entities and developing sales strategies that fulfill financial obligations. By integrating resources from various Newmark divisions, Van Mullem aims to deliver tailored services that address the unique challenges and opportunities presented by each asset. This collaborative approach leverages extensive experience and industry insights, ensuring seamless management and strategic execution to provide best-in-class professionalism, expertise and services throughout the receivership cycle.
Bringing over 15 years of experience in real estate and law, Van Mullem was most recently Managing Director of Real Estate at Resolute Commercial Services, LLC in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he led the company’s commercial real estate workouts and restructuring group. Prior, he managed the development of high-yield condominium projects at Replay Destinations and underwrote commercial real estate loans at Churchill Commercial Capital. Earlier in his career, Van Mullem practiced law, specializing in bankruptcy and distressed real estate cases.
