Daniel Leonardi has more than 25 years of experience running global, multi-disciplined corporate real estate departments. He currently serves as Executive Managing Director in Newmark’s Global Corporate Services business where is broad skills and experience are leveraged across the platform in supporting global account pursuits and operational excellence initiatives in the existing account portfolio. Prior to this role, Leonardi served as Global Lead of Real Estate Development for Knotel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Newmark. In that role, he oversaw the design, build, and workplace strategy teams responsible for delivering spaces to market for sales, and the customization of spaces in advance of occupancy by Knotel’s flex and co-working customers. In addition, Leonardi operationalized processes to improve efficiencies in global, end-to-end delivery of Knotel products and services.
Before joining Newmark, Leonardi served as Vice President, Customer Relationship Management for Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund. In this role, Leonardi acted as liaison between Bridgewater’s business leads and the corporate real estate department insuring proactive, effective and efficient corporate real estate support of the core businesses and their outcomes.
Leonardi spent most of his career - eighteen years - with United Systems Integrators (Johnson Controls Inc. via acquisition of USI) where he held various roles of increasing responsibility. In his last role as Director, Global Real Estate & Workplace Resources, Leonardi was the CRE lead for Johnson Controls’ 72 million square foot corporate real estate portfolio and steward of the portfolio’s $1B total cost of occupancy. Prior to that position, he was Global Account Lead for United Technologies Corporation’s 109M SF portfolio in the North America, CALA, and AsiaPac Regions, responsible for delivering real estate, facilities management, project management, data management, legal, and strategy services.
