As an Executive Managing Director in Newmark’s Detroit office, Dan Labes focuses on both the industrial and hi-tech marketplace in the I-75 Corridor of Oakland County as well as the bulk warehouse/distribution market segment in Wayne County.
Over the past several years, Labes has sold or leased over 37 million square feet of industrial space and has sold nearly 500 acres of land for industrial development. In addition to selling and leasing industrial space to users, Labes has sold over $500 million of investment property for clients such as: ANICO, Equitable Real Estate, First Industrial Realty Trust, Fishbach Properties, GE Capital, Heitman Properties, Liberty Property Trust, Meridian Industrial Trust, Prologis, RREEF, STAG Industrial, US Bank and Walton Street Capital.
Labes joined Newmark in 1999 after more than 11 years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he worked his way up to the position of Senior Director of the industrial/technology group. He was continuously named that firm’s top industrial broker for Detroit, top 10 industrial broker nationally and top 100 broker nationally.
