Darrell Rubens is a Senior Managing Director in the New York office of Newmark. He is recognized among the premier retail real estate professionals in Manhattan.
For more than 22 years, Rubens has excelled at representing both landlords and tenants. He has been instrumental to the transformation of the Wall Street retail corridor with the successful leasing of Canali, T.J.Maxx, Thomas Pink and Tumi.
In recent years, Rubens has represented many of Manhattan’s most prominent entrepreneurial and institutional owners, including ABS and Partners, Angelo, Gordon & Co., Capstone Equities, Carlyle Group, Green Oak, Himmel + Meringoff Properties, LeFrak, Madison Capital, Rockpoint Group, Silverstein Properties, SL Green and others. He was instrumental as a landlord representative, securing leases with Gourmet Garage, Lowes Home Improvement, Rumble, Sephora, Warby Parker and Wells Fargo.
Rubens has also worked on behalf of a wide range of retail clients, including as Chase Bank, Crunch Fitness, CVS, Equinox General Electric, My.Suit, Precision Run, Snapchat, the U.S. Postal Service and Walgreens.
Rubens joined Newmark in 2019, when its parent company acquired New York-based retail real estate brokerage RKF. He was previously a partner at Winick Realty Group and served as Executive Vice President of the firm, where for more than 20 years he played a key role as both a broker and manager. Rubens completed more than $1 billion worth of retail transactions during his tenure at Winick.

Rubens received CoStar Group’s Power Broker Award for retail leasing and was named one of Real Estate Weekly’s Rising Stars. He was also a finalist for the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) Deal of the Year award.
