David Dera serves as Senior Managing Director in the Global Strategy consulting practice in Newmark’s Global Corporate Services (GCS), advising on location strategy, supply chain optimization and economic development for the EMEA region. Dera specializes in business strategy, internationalization, global footprint, supply chain management and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for both private and public sector clients to deliver long-term competitiveness.
Dera has led numerous location strategy projects for dynamic mid-sized companies and multinational firms in the manufacturing and service sectors, with a focus on Europe, particularly the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, as well as for North America and the Middle East. Dera has also advised economic development organizations (EDOs) and investment promotion agencies (IPAs) on how to attract foreign investment. Through his work developing investment strategies for public sector clients (states, regions, and cities), Dera has helped shape the influx of foreign investment in key economic hubs, in Europe and globally.
Prior to joining Newmark, Dera was Manager and Head of Global Footprint Advisory at OCO Global advising clients on economic development, international market expansion, location advisory and global supply chain management. He was also a Senior Consultant at EAC International Consulting.

Dera holds a Master of Science in International Business from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from University of Hohenheim, Germany.
