Edward E. Embree, II, serves as a Vice President for Newmark Valuation & Advisory in the Kansas City office and is a member of the Retail Petroleum & Restaurant specialty practice group. Embree specializes in the appraisal of retail petroleum facilities (gas stations, convenience stores, service stations, truck stops, car washes, etc.) and restaurants.
Embree joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in early 2020 when Newmark Group, Inc., acquired the assets of Hopkins Appraisal Services, a national leader in the valuation of retail petroleum facilities and restaurants.
Previously, Embree was a Partner with the firm of Neill, Terrill & Embree, Kansas City, where he specialized in real property and corporate transactions, ad valorem tax, real property litigation, and federal tax matters.
Prior to Neill, Terrill Embree, Kansas City, Embree most recently served as a Partner with the firm of Perry, Hamill & Fillmore in Kansas City. His responsibilities included overseeing a wide range of commercial and real estate related legal matters, including commercial real estate transactions throughout the Midwest, bankruptcy and commercial lending representing all parties.
Going Concern - SBA
Per Chapter 4 of the SBA’s SOP 50, Embree has, within the last 36 months, completed no less than four going concern appraisals of special use properties (car wash, gas station with or without a convenience store, restaurant, etc.)

Education
Embree earned his Juris Doctor degree from Creighton University School of Law, a Masters degree in taxation from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the Southern Methodist University.
