Elizabeth Berthelette, CRE, serves as Head of Northeast Research & National Life Science Research. In her role, Berthelette collaborates with Research along with Capital Markets and Brokerage professionals to provide data in high concentration Life Science markets across the US.
With over 16 years of experience as a seasoned researcher and economist for commercial real estate, Berthelette oversees Life Science data pertaining to employment, the strength of local markets, supply/demand balance, new construction, build-out costs, vacancies, investment sales activity and debt financing. Additionally, beyond real estate, Berthelette provides insights on Life Science market demand drivers such as population, clinical trials, healthcare costs, manufacturing, funding and public markets.
Based in the company’s Boston, Massachusetts office, Berthelette is a frequent contributor to leading local and national industry publications and organizations such as The Business Journals, CoStar, GlobeSt and Bisnow. Joining Newmark in 2019 as Director of Research, Berthelette brings extensive experience in producing reliable data and market analyses and authoring quarterly market reports, white papers, blog posts and guest columns on relevant trends. Prior to joining Newmark, Berthelette held senior research positions at Hunneman and Colliers International.
