Elizabeth R. Houley joined Newmark in 2002 at the firm’s Manhattan headquarters. She possesses more than 21 years of experience in the New York real estate market, representing the City’s most high-profile real estate owners and large corporate tenants.
Houley has served as leasing agent for many of Manhattan’s premier properties including 1177 Avenue of the Americas, 712 Fifth Avenue, 745 Fifth Avenue, Swiss Bank Tower, 335 Madison Avenue, 230 Park Avenue, 489 Fifth Avenue, Plaza 57, Heron Tower, 850 Third Avenue, 99 Park Avenue and 711 Fifth Avenue. At 230 Park Avenue, Houley supervised the property’s strategic redevelopment, which included restacking more than 300 tenants.
Houley has also focused on revitalizing commercial properties in Lower Manhattan. In this capacity she has led the successful leases at 90 William Street, 90 John Street, 17 Battery Park Plaza, 50 Broadway, 61 Broadway and 170 Broadway.
Houley has completed numerous large tenant rep and disposition transactions for clients such as Havas, AXA/Equitable, Keyspan Energy, Zurich North America, Interpublic Group of Companies and Euro RSCG.
Prior to coming to Newmark, Houley was a Leasing Director and Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle, and was also previously affiliated with The Galbreath Company.
Houley is a licensed real estate broker and has served on the Board of Governors of the Young Mens/Womens Real Estate Association and the Real Estate Board of New York. She is currently on the Membership Committee for that organization.
