Executive Managing Director Eric Cagner focuses on representing tenants and owners in Manhattan’s commercial districts. Since joining Newmark in 2007, he has worked as part of President of the New York Tri-State Region David Falk’s team.
Cagner has been involved with some of the more notable leasing transactions that have occurred throughout the Tri-State Area in recent years. On the tenant representation side, he has represented such distinguished clients as 1stdibs, AdTheorent, Avon, Cerberus Capital Management, Crossmedia, Cockroach Labs, Codecademy, DraftKings, eBay, Fluent Inc. Huntsworth Health, Intent Media, John Varvatos, Kane Kessler, PepsiCo Global, RVM Enterprises, Tube Mogul, W2O and Yume Inc., to name a few.
On the landlord side, Cagner has represented such notable clients as Mitsui Fudosan (1251 Avenue of the Americas), Fisher Brothers (299 Park Avenue), Bromley Companies (122 Fifth Avenue), HRC Corp. (156 Fifth Avenue), PGIM (180 Madison Avenue), Gorjian Realty (192 Lexington Avenue), Waterman Interests (400 Park Avenue), Somerset Partners (300 E. 42nd Street), John Hancock (100 William Street), HSR Corp. (386 Park Avenue South, 503 Broadway), Jamestown Properties (325 Hudson Street) and and Elijah Equities (520 W. 20th Street) to name a few. Cagner was also intricately involved in the successful lease-up of such assets as: 450 Park Avenue/Somerset Partners, 530 Fifth Avenue/Jamestown Properties/Rockwood Capital, 130 Fifth Avenue/Olnick Organization and 490 Broadway (Kaufman Organization).
Prior to joining Newmark, Cagner was an Associate with GVA Williams for three years, where he was the recipient of the firm’s Associate of the Year award.
Professional Achievements
Cagner was awarded the 2016 Tri-State Senior Managing Director of the Year and was selected as the recipient of the 2013 Aaron Gural Award, a distinguished honor determined by his peers. He qualified for Newmark’s Chairman Circle several times which acknowledges the Top 100 producers in the Company globally. In 2007, Cagner was selected by Real Estate New York magazine as a Rising Star Under 30 and was featured in Real Estate Weekly’s Rising Stars issue.
Education
Cagner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Cornell University and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He currently resides in Woodbury, New York, with his wife, Lauren, and their children, Blake and Grant.
