Garrett Cannon serves as Head of Newmark’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) Information and Technology group. In his role, Cannon oversees the design, build, sales and operations of Newmark’s GCS technology platform to expand its suite of seamless, beginning-to-end corporate services solutions including: global and regional expansion strategies; lease administration; facilities management; workplace strategies; company leadership and culture development; emerging technology solutions; and safety and wellness programs.

Cannon has over twenty-five years of executive experience supporting the sale of technology, lease and workflow information services independent of, or bundled with, transaction services. He has experience with information management and lease administration, an especially critical function for multi-market portfolio services support.

Before joining Newmark, Cannon served as Head of Real Estate and Asset Management for Bridgewater Associates, responsible for information management, workplace strategy, and transaction and asset management, including investments in Class A office and hospitality properties.

Cannon spent 16 years at Johnson Controls, where he was VP/GM for Real Estate and Workplace for the Global Workplace Solutions. Cannon was a founder and President of Sequentra Solutions LLC, a leading PropTech Software as a Service product trusted by many of the world’s top CRE departments, including Amazon, LinkedIn, Motorola, United Technologies, Colgate and WPI. He led all aspects of this business from startup through sale to Johnson Controls, where he continued to expand the product offering globally concurrent to his other responsibilities.

Cannon was a Principal with United Systems Integrators, responsible for e-Business strategy, products and services, and management and oversight for all related initiatives. He was the Partner responsible for founding and developing the Global WorkPlace Knowledge Centers in Manila, Philippines.

Cannon has held various roles of increasing regional and national responsibility for CBRE.
