Gerald R. Sanders, MAI, AI-GRS, MRICS, currently serves as a Senior Vice President in the New York office of Newmark Valuation & Advisory. His vast experience includes industrial, office and retail valuations, portfolio valuations for IPO’s and annual financial reporting, acquisition due diligence, purchase price allocations, cost segregation studies, retail, hospitality, health care and hospitals, maximizing the value of real estate assets to the corporate enterprise, litigation and disposition strategy. Sanders has over 35 years of specialized real estate valuation and consulting experience.
Prior to joining Newmark in 2013, Sanders worked for six years at Grubb & Ellis, where he managed the valuation practice and provided high-profile litigation support. From 2004 to 2007, as one of its founding members, Sanders grew Weiser Realty Advisors and managed portfolio valuation audits. He also managed teams that valued partial minority interests in limited partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies, as an expert in the discounts taken for both lack of control and marketability. Prior to that, Sanders worked at Landauer Real Estate Counselors, where he was responsible for the management of CBD office and industrial valuations throughout the country.
