Greg Valvo, MRICS, ASA, CSA-G joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2019 and currently serves as Senior Vice President. As an appraiser, Valvo has performed more than 700 valuations and market studies on a wide variety of properties, including office buildings, shopping centers, multifamily residences, condominium developments, student housing, industrial properties, self storage and vacant land.
In addition to being an appraiser, Valvo has been a lender at AIG, focusing on the Northeast region issuing $25 million to $500 hundred million construction loans. Valvo helped develop the underwriting/valuation methodology that is taught to new hires and developed the construction management process (after origination through completion of the project) in conjunction with asset management.
Valvo brings to his position 15 years of financial markets experience. Being born and raised on Long Island, Valvo has unique insight into the real estate market that not only stems from his well-established experience, but also from the knowledge gained from his family, who is invested in the real estate and finance worlds.

Education
Valvo earned a Master of Business Administration degree in real estate and finance from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from Bentley College. He has also been a guest lecturer twice at Hofstra University. Valvo has successfully completed numerous real estate and valuation courses and seminars sponsored by the Appraisal Institute, American Society of Appraisers, accredited universities and others.
