Hunter Curtis joined Newmark in 2024 and currently serves as Managing Director in the company’s Orange County office where he is responsible for sourcing debt and equity transactions for commercial and multifamily assets.
With over 12 years of experience in the industry, Curtis has successfully closed more than $6 billion in debt and equity transactions with some of Southern California’s leading developers and investors. He has built and maintains long standing relationships with a diverse array of best-in-class lenders including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, Insurance, CMBS and private label lending enterprises.
Prior to joining Newmark, Curtis helped launch Grandbridge Real Estate Capital’s West Coast presence in 2017. At Grandbridge his team sourced debt and equity capital for institutional-grade assets and developments. Prior to that, he co-founded Curtis Group Real Estate, Inc., a boutique Real Estate Investment Banking company.
Curtis began his career at Goldman Sachs where he was part of the Real Estate Financing Group within the Investment Banking division. During his tenure there, Curtis was involved in the origination, underwriting, closing and securitizing of over $2 billion in commercial loans across a wide array of assets, including multifamily, manufactured housing, office, retail, industrial, hospitality and self-storage.

Education
Curtis graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in finance entrepreneurship.
