James E. Agner, MAI, AI-GRS, MRICS, SGA, currently serves as a Senior Managing Director for Newmark Valuation & Advisory and Market Leader for Florida & the Caribbean. He is also the Specialty Practice Co-Leader for Golf Courses. A 30-year corporate real estate veteran, Agner has substantial expertise throughout the State of Florida with primary experience in South Florida and in the Caribbean.
Agner has extensive experience in the preparation and review of real estate appraisals, feasibility studies, rent analyses, and market studies of complex commercial and residential properties, as well as golf valuation properties. Clients have included financial institutions, developers, and individual and corporate property owners and attorneys.
Agner came to Newmark after serving as Senior Managing Director/EVP for twenty-eight years at CBRE, Inc., where he was responsible for Managing the Florida office and Business Development. He was also Co-Leader of the Golf & Resort Valuation Group. Agner is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and General Review Specialist (AI-GRS), member of the Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and is licensed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the state of Florida. He has also provided expert witness testimony in the Circuit Courts – state of Florida and United States Bankruptcy Courts.
