James Estrada joined Newmark in 2017 as a senior managing director specializing in the representation of landlords and tenants in Orange County, California. Mr. Estrada brings to his position more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience including leasing, property management and construction. He has to date transacted over 20 million square feet with gross consideration nearing $1 billion dollars.
Previously, Mr. Estrada served as senior vice president of commercial real Estate at Jones Lang LaSalle and helped that firm start its agency platform in Orange County. Prior to that, he worked for Fowler Property Acquisitions and The Bixby Land Company, where he oversaw all commercial real estate located throughout the western United States and leasing in Orange County. He also held senior positions with Cushman & Wakefield, The Koll Company, CB Richard Ellis and Cabot Industrial Trust. At each of these companies, he was responsible for the direction of leasing and marketing efforts, property transition and management, hiring and training staff, overseeing construction projects and budget production. He started his commercial real estate career as a broker with the Grubb & Ellis Company, now a part of Newmark.
Education
Mr. Estrada earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and marketing from California State University at Fullerton. He currently holds a California real estate sales license.
