Jane Diven, MAI, MRICS joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2018 and currently serves as an Executive Vice President in the Washington, DC office. Diven specializes in the valuation of institutional quality office assets in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland.
Since beginning her career in valuation in 2000, Diven has worked with clients to provide valuation analyses on a variety of property types including retail, industrial, self storage, multifamily, mixed-use and land. Diven also has experience in the preparation of appraisals for property tax appeals. Her clients include financial institutions, life insurance companies, pension funds, sovereign wealth groups, developers and other public and private entities.
Prior to Newmark, Diven worked at Cushman & Wakefield, where she served as a Senior Director in their Washington, DC office specializing in office and retail properties valuing over $43 billion in assets. Diven began her career appraising at the national level at CBRE, valuing a wide range of properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Florida.

Education
Diven earned a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the George Washington University, graduating magna cum laude. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Administration degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan. While at Michigan, Diven was member of the varsity fencing team where she was a scholar athlete.
