As head of Newmark’s New York Consulting Group, Jason Perla advises clients on strategic planning and transaction structuring, ensuring that all of their business and financial objectives are considered and properly addressed. His comprehensive understanding of the economic impact of real estate transactions allows him to develop and implement the most efficient strategies on behalf of his clients. Since 2004, Perla has completed more than 18 million square feet of transactions. Perla represents clients across all industries in lease negotiations, focusing on financial issues and business terms. Select clients include Brown Brothers Harriman, Clear, Dior, Media.Monks, Mintz Levin, Siris Capital, Truist, Vince and the United Nations.
Perla joined Newmark in 2018 after 14 years in Savills Studley’s New York office, where he served as an Executive Managing Director and partner with the Integrated Consulting Services group. In this role, Perla focused on strategic planning, tenancy/lease analysis, market trends and lease negotiations. He worked on some of the firm’s highest-profile leasing transactions in the country and advised well-known public and private companies.
Prior to Savills Studley, Perla worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers in the global real estate group. In this role, he analyzed investment opportunities in select office, residential and retail center projects for the firm’s $1.6 billion private equity fund.
