Jeff Cannon joined Newmark in 2020 as Executive Managing Director in the firm’s Industrial Advisory Group, which specializes in serving the needs of tenants and their distribution networks. A recognized leader in commercial real estate with more than 27 years of experience, Jeff consults on behalf of prominent corporations across Southern California and the Western United States. As a leader of his team, he provides end-to-end real estate solutions that integrate sophisticated operational consulting and analysis into thoughtfully executed strategies to increase leverage and maximize value. Jeff has completed more than 40 million square feet of transactions, which can be attributed to his professionalism, in-depth analysis, client-first mentality and consistent delivery of value-added results.
Jeff is a founding member of Newmark’s North American Industrial Advisory Group, a team of trusted, senior-level advisors specializing in supply chain and logistics real estate for blue chip clients, including Fortune 500 corporations and global leaders in third-party logistics. Possessing over 225 years of combined experience, Jeff and his partners have a history of developing and executing strategy on portfolios in excess of 100 million square feet annually. Building on its occupier-led experience, IAG assists clients in navigating evolving dynamics across their supply chain, logistics, warehouse, distribution and manufacturing real estate portfolios throughout North America and beyond.
Most recently an Executive Managing Director at Savills, Jeff was a founding member of the Savills Industrial Services Group and had been with Studley since 2005, before the firm merged with Savills in 2014. Prior to joining Studley, Jeff was a founding partner of a successful boutique commercial real estate firm in Orange County. Before starting his own firm, Jeff was consistently recognized as a top broker at CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield.
Achievements and Affiliations
As a real estate professional, Jeff has received multiple CoStar Power Broker awards in Orange County and the Inland Empire. Additionally, he’s been recognized for closing several of the largest regional leasing transactions and is a repeat recipient of the Irvine Company’s, Watson Land Company’s and Prologis’ Broker of the Year awards. Outside of the office, Jeff served on the board of directors for the Pretend City: Children’s Museum of Orange County from 2008 to 2011, chairing a major fundraiser in 2010 that continues today as the largest fundraiser each year for the Children’s Museum.

Education
Jeff graduated from the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, Spanish and political science. In addition, he has studied abroad in Chile and Spain.
