As a vice chairman with Newmark for over 30 years, Jeff Rodgers is one of the firm’s most recognized and accomplished commercial real estate brokers in the Bay Area. His client list reads like a “who’s who” of the industry-Google, IBM, Pure Storage, Roku, Sigma Computing, Snowflake and Verisign.
With this deep a pool of experience and the knowledge and network connections that come with it, Mr. Rodgers continued his impressive run in 2021, with transactions completed on behalf of some of the tech industry’s biggest names, including Roku and Snowflake Computing. These major transactions throughout the year allowed him to improve upon his status as one of the region’s elite brokers.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Rodgers began his real estate career on an already greater-than-average scale at General Electric Real Estate Equities, Inc. Based in the Dallas office, Mr. Rodgers managed an investment portfolio valued in excess of $150 million.
Since then, the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers has nominated Mr. Rodgers for its Broker of the Year award every year from 1993 to 2000 and in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2018 and 2022. These nominations were in recognition of his staggering 14.5 million square feet of office/R&D space leased. In 2000 alone, Mr. Rodgers leased more than 2 million square feet and total considerations worth more than $2.5 billion. For these efforts, the Silicon Valley Business Journal named him one of the Top Five Commercial Real Estate Broker in Silicon Valley, and he was Newmark’s Number One Producer for Northern California in 2007.
