Jennifer K. Phillips serves as Vice President for Newmark and works nationwide for the Convenience & Automotive Energy and Restaurants specialty practice under Newmark Valuation & Advisory. Actively engaged in real estate valuation and consulting since 2007, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the company.
Phillips has successfully completed valuations on various proposed, partially completed, renovated and existing structures and vacant land. Phillips’ valuations have been used for acquisitions, refinancing, lease term analysis, portfolio financing, condemnation purposes, estates, and due diligence support. She has experience with all elements of value: real estate, equipment, and business intangible. Her clients have included accountants, investment firms, law firms, lenders, private and public agencies.
Phillips transitioned to Newmark upon its acquisition of Hopkins Appraisal Services, which specialized in retail petroleum facilities (gas stations, convenience stores, service stations, truck stops, car washes, etc.) and restaurants. During her 13 years with Hopkins where she most recently served as a senior associate, she appraised more than 2,000 properties throughout the country.

Per Chapter 4 of the SBA’s SOP 50, Phillips has, within the last 36 months, completed no less than four going concern appraisals of special use properties.
Education
Phillips studied finance and business management at Rockhurst University and has completed all classes required to fulfill the certified general appraiser’s continued education requirements. Additionally, Phillips has completed numerous real estate-related courses and seminars sponsored by the Appraisal Institute, accredited universities, and others.
