As the senior project manager for Newmark’s Southeast region, Gerald “Jerry” Luczka is responsible for complete project management oversight for every phase of construction projects, from planning to delivery and closeout, in the markets of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Washington, DC. Mr. Luczka reviews the business controls for each project prepared by Newmark’s Management Services team, ensuring all bid policies, procedures, approvals and insurance requirements meet company and client policies.
Mr. Luczka has more than 27 years of construction experience in both the health care and commercial industries. He has implemented numerous project management best practices, the code review process for regulatory standard compliance, the development of project management protocol and budget/cost accountability. He has also managed various projects that required working in occupied areas and new construction. Recently completed projects include a two-phase, 163,500-square-foot build-out for a defense contractor; the construction of a 26,000-square-foot laboratory; and renovations to several high-level security government projects.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Luczka served as a director of project management with CBRE and as senior project manager with Trammell Crow Company. He also worked for Prince William Health Systems for more than 20 years as a member of senior management where he managed a staff of 15 professionals, while providing oversight of internal and external construction resources, safety audits, quality control and monitoring contractor performance.
