Jim Berry, MAI, MRICS, CRE, ASA, currently serves as an Executive Vice President in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Boston, Massachusetts office. Berry is a senior member of Newmark’s Hospitality, Gaming & Leisure Group and co-leads a Northeast team with a territory including New England, New York, and New Jersey. A 20+ year corporate real estate veteran, Berry has substantial expertise in the Hospitality sector. He has completed 1,000s of hospitality appraisals and consulting assignments predominately in New England. Property types range from luxury urban hotels and coastal resorts to economy franchise hotels and independently operated inns and B&Bs.
Berry came to Newmark after serving as an Executive Director for eighteen years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was responsible for hospitality appraisal, review, and consulting assignments primarily in New England. Prior to his time at Cushman & Wakefield, Berry was a commercial real estate appraiser at Joseph J. Blake and Associates in Washington D.C. and Colliers Pinkard in Baltimore, Maryland.

Berry earned his Master of Science in Real Estate from John Hopkins University. He earned both his Master of Arts in Geography and Planning & Bachelor of Arts from Towson University.
